1. Independent Contractor Status

MOOV Crew members (“Crew” or “Service Providers”) operate as independent contractors and not employees, agents, or representatives of MOOVR. Crew members are solely responsible for:

  • Services performed
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintaining applicable insurance or workplace coverage where required

Nothing in this Agreement creates:

  • Agency relationship

between the Crew member and Moovr Technologies Inc.

2. Scope of Services

Crew members may provide:

  • Loading and unloading assistance
  • Carrying assistance
  • Packing and unpacking assistance

  • Meet all applicable legal and safety requirements
  • Maintain professional conduct while performing services

MOOVR reserves the right to:

  • Verify identity
  • Request supporting documentation
  • Suspend or remove Crew members who fail to meet eligibility requirements

4. Stripe Connect & Payment Processing

Crew members are required to maintain an active payout account through MOOVR’s approved payment processor, including Stripe Connect or equivalent payout providers. By using the Platform, Crew members authorize MOOVR to:

  • Process earnings
  • Deduct platform fees
  • Process cancellation compensation
  • Issue electronic payouts

Crew members are responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate banking information
  • Providing applicable tax information
  • Any taxes or reporting obligations related to earnings received through the Platform

5. Insurance & Risk Structure

A) Service Provider Responsibilities

Crew members are not required to maintain individual General Liability insurance at onboarding; however, Crew members agree to:

  • Follow all MOOVR safety and handling policies
  • Accept responsibility for negligence or misconduct
  • Comply with all lifting, safety, and operational limitations

B) Platform Coverage (Limited)

MOOVR may maintain limited platform-level contingent coverage applicable to certain incidents. This coverage:

  • Is limited in scope
  • Applies only where eligible and subject to policy terms
  • Does not replace personal insurance
  • Does not make MOOVR the primary insurer

MOOVR does not guarantee coverage for all incidents or claims.

C) Recommended Coverage

Crew members are strongly encouraged to maintain:

  • General Liability Insurance (recommended minimum: $1,000,000 CAD)
  • WSIB (Workplace Safety & Insurance Board) coverage where applicable
  • Personal injury or accident coverage

Crew members acknowledge that they are independent contractors and are responsible for obtaining any workplace injury or occupational coverage applicable to their activities.

6. Relationship to Shipment Protection

Shipment protection or cargo protection offered through third-party providers:

  • Applies only to goods or cargo
  • Covers loss or damage based on declared value

Such protection does not cover:

  • Personal injury
  • Labor-related damage
  • Negligence during handling
  • Workplace injuries
  • Unsafe lifting practices

Crew members acknowledge that shipment protection does not replace their own liability responsibilities.

  • Vehicle-related incidents occurring during active transport

MOOVR Standard Coverage

MOOVR may provide up to $1,000 CAD in standard coverage per order, subject to applicable terms, limitations, and investigation procedures. This coverage:

  • Does not replace personal liability insurance
  • Does not make MOOVR the primary insurer
  • May apply only after applicable carrier or service provider responsibility is evaluated

Cargo Protection Clarification

Crew members acknowledge that:

  • Such protection does not replace the Crew member’s own liability obligations or responsibilities
  • MOOVR is not the primary insurer for labor-related damages or incidents
